EXTREME ENVIRONMENT.  That pretty much sums up my life.  With 3 boys, there isn’t much that happens that isn’t extreme, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.  On July 16, 2005, there was another addition to my family (uhh no, not another child), I was married to Marion Elizabeth Hulley.  It’s hard to believe that this beautiful woman actually wanted to be a part of my world; I mean think about it, 4 boys to 1 girl.  But she said, “Yes” and we said, “I do” and so a family we became.

On December 29, 1966, something incredible happened that would echo throughout history…I was born!  If I do say so myself, what a CUTE baby I was.  I had quite an uneventful childhood.  Born and raised in the Bay Area, I’ve spent most of my years living in Hayward, CA.  I attended John Muir Elementary School, Winton Jr. High School and eventually graduated from Sunset High School in 1985.  My most memorable moments of high school were in band where I played the trumpet, which I really enjoyed.  After high school I taught myself how to play the guitar and continue to enjoy it.  I currently play music for the children’s ministry at the church I attend, Neighborhood Church of Castro Valley.  That is so much fun and I really enjoy working with the kids.  Marion also works in the children’s ministry using her computer skills to create incredible power point slide shows.  In my spare time I enjoy reading, riding my motorcycle, playing with my boys and spending time with my wife.

As I mentioned earlier I have 3 boys, Brandon, Jordan and Jacob. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a father and raising 3 of the most energetic and fun loving kids you could ask for.   It has been such a delight to watch them grow and see their personalities and character develop.  They are definitely the highlights of my life and I love them dearly.

I am currently a service technician working for The Icee Company, which I have been an employee of for the last 18 years.  I really enjoy my job and the service/repair oriented work that I do.  You could say it’s been a really ‘COOL’ experience!

I have one younger brother, Tim, who lives in Southern California.  I have a lot of fond memories growing up with him. Some of which, really make me appreciate the fact that we are both alive today! (Thank God for the lock on the bathroom door!) Some of my more non-lethal memories include swimming in the back yard (hee hee), working at Les Worley & Sons (listo?  Si.  Huevos!), playing aggravation (still can’t find all the marbles) and attending numerous Stryper concerts. As far as the ‘other’ memories, let’s just say they include darts, rocks, M-1000’s, bb guns and steak knives.  Love ya bro!

Adventure? Love it! I have climbed Half Dome in Yosemite several times, climbed Mt Whitney in a day, jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, bungee jumped off of a 180 foot bridge, jumped off of a 40+ foot rock into the ocean (as you can see I like jumping off of stuff!), and am currently raising a teenager…with two more to follow. Maybe on that last item I bit off more then I can chew… After meeting Marion, I got my first opportunity to leave the country and visit her in Europe where she was on a 1-year missions trip. We traveled through Paris (mmmm chocolate crepes), Germany (beer drinking starts promptly at 6am), Switzerland (saw a better view of the Matterhorn at Disneyland), Venice (liked the water taxis) and Rome (the coliseum was AWESOME!). Since then I’ve been to Calgary, Alberta, Canada several times visiting Marion’s family, eh! We’ve visited Banff, Lake Louise, Victoria and other places in Canada as well. In keeping with my love for adventure, most of our visits to the Great White North have been 24-hour non-stop road trips.

Well, there you go, a snapshot of my life.  In some respects, not so exciting, but two things have made it all more then worthwhile.  First, my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has promised to work all things together for my good and who has also given me the hope of eternal life.  Second, friends and family who have stuck by me through the good times, bad times and yes, even ugly times and helped make me who I am today.  There are too many to recount all of them here but I do want to mention just a few.   Mom and Dad, thank you for being a living example of what faithfulness means, doing what is right even when it hurts.  You have influenced me more then you will ever know.  My PTA brothers; John Loux, David Loux, Mike Lung and Steve Ramirez, thank you for sharing in my laughter, my tears, my joys and my sorrows.  You have been an incredible blessing in my life and I love you guys.  And last but certainly not least, my wife Marion, thank you for loving me despite myself; you are truly a gift from God.
